Clean Up Day-
Thursday, September 1st
Silver Spring Day School
10:00 AM- 12:00 PM
Please join us for a school wide clean up day. This is a parent only event. If you need to bring your child, please arrive at 10:00 AM and plan to stay for two hours . In the past, parent's have taken turns watching the children on the playground-1 hour watching kiddos on the playground and 1 hour cleaning in the classroom. If you are planning to bring your child, please make at note on the sign up page. We will not have take home jobs for this event, so please make plans to attend. Each job will last approximately 1 hour. This is a great event and we all work together as a community to prepare the classroom for the kiddos. Orientation Day- Orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 6th. Please bring your child at his/her scheduled time. I will be emailing the orientation schedule. You may drop your child off at the orientation or stay with your child. Each session lasts 45 minutes. This is a great opportunity to transition your child into Pre-k and spend some time with their new teacher before the first day of school!

First Day Of School Checklist
On the first day of school, your child should:
_____wear shoes that are comfortable for running
_____wear play clothes
_____bring a backpack or tote bag
_____bring a water bottle (this should be labeled and brought to school every day)
_____bring a change of clothes, including socks and underwear, in a labeled plastic bag
_____bring a snack in a small labled ziplock or container (this does not need to be a large sack..examples-granola bar, banana
_____bring a lunch in a bag or lunchbox (Pack perishable items separately and label them with your child's name.)
**Label all items...change of clothes, snack, lunch, backpack, coat, etc...***
